armature

The Physical AI and Robotics Lab
The armature is the core of every motor: the part that moves. Ours is a 3,500 sq ft lab in HSR Layout built for the full path from idea to working machine. Industrial arms, a netted drone cage, prototyping and machining, ESD-safe benches, and GPU compute, all bookable by the hour.

What armature is

Software builders have everywhere to gather. Hardware builders have almost nowhere. armature is a permanent space where the people building atoms can work, show, and be seen.
→ 01

A workshop

Bench space, tools, and serious equipment to build on. A place to assemble, break, and iterate on a prototype without doing it alone in a garage.

→ 02

A showroom

Resident teams keep prototypes and demo material on the floor. Visiting investors, partners, and operators see working physical AI, not a pitch deck.

→ 03

A room

The lab is hosted. Founders, engineers, and backers who understand hardware share the space, so the hardest questions get answered by people who have been there.

→ 04

A training ground

Paid hands-on workshops, student research projects run with industry, and build days with the communities driving Indian robotics.

armature is the first facility of a larger plan: the Institute for Physical AI, coming later.

The space

3,500 sq ft organized along two gradients: clean to dirty, calm to hazardous. Hazard zones sit in the far corners off every walkway, and the demo floor meets you at the door.

Coverage

Whole-floor view

Nine cameras over the robot cell, drone cage, machine shop, prototyping, builder pods, electronics, demo floor, storage, and compute, feeding an NVR in the control room. No blind spots.

Safety

Unattended-use ready

Live monitoring and motion alerts mean hourly members work safely, and any incident in a hazard zone is seen and recorded.

Accountability

Tied to access

Footage links to badge-in records, so every booked session has a clear trail. Recordings retained and access-controlled.

04

From idea to working machine

The floor is laid out as a pipeline. Work enters as a sketch and leaves as a machine someone has watched run.

Every zone, mapped

Each zone is mapped to its equipment, its power requirement, and the distribution board that feeds it. Heavy 3-phase loads stay isolated from the clean, grounded circuits that electronics and compute depend on.

Build your own AI data centre

For companies that want the GPUs on their own floor: we design, assemble, and tune multi-GPU servers, from a 2-GPU workstation to an 8-GPU rack, so you own the hardware instead of renting it forever.
Design

Spec and bill of materials

The right configuration for your workload and budget: RTX 5090 workstations, RTX PRO 6000 nodes, or full 8-GPU servers, with the complete BOM, power draw, and cooling plan.

Build

Assemble and tune

Assembled and burn-tested in armature: PCIe lanes, Above 4G decoding, Resizable BAR, drivers, and thermals tuned for sustained multi-GPU training and inference.

Run

Deploy and operate

Installed on your premises, wired into your power and network, with an optional managed service for monitoring, updates, and capacity planning as you scale.

Built in the open: our builds follow and contribute to the open-source autonomous-computer build guide (MIT licensed), from bill of materials to BIOS.
04

On-prem physical AI deployments

Your site, your data, your own physical AI. Continuous smart surveillance, safety monitoring, and local LLM use cases for hospitals, malls, hotels, factories, and institutes, running entirely on your premises.
→ 01

Continuous video cannot live in the cloud

Streaming dozens of cameras to the cloud around the clock is expensive and slow. A local GPU processes everything on site, in real time, at a fixed cost.

→ 02

Your footage never leaves the building

Hospitals, schools, and factories often cannot legally or practically send footage out. On-prem keeps every frame, and every LLM query, inside your walls.

→ 03

One box, many use cases

The same on-site GPU that watches the floor also runs your local assistant, your document search, and your site-specific models.

→ 04

Deployed and maintained by a lab, not a vendor

armature's engineers spec, install, and maintain the deployment, and the lab behind it means models keep improving after go-live.

Who it's for

Hospitals

Care and compliance

Patient-area monitoring, fall detection, restricted-zone alerts, and hygiene compliance, with footage that never leaves the hospital.

Malls + hotels

Footfall and safety

People counting, crowd flow, queue analytics, incident detection, and guest-safety alerts across large public spaces.

Factories

Shop-floor intelligence

PPE and safety compliance, intrusion detection, line monitoring, and visual inspection, on the machines you already run.

Institutes

Campus safety

Entry and perimeter monitoring, attendance signals, and after-hours anomaly detection for schools and colleges.

LLM on-prem

Local intelligence

Site-specific assistants, document search, and reporting on the same on-prem GPUs, private by default.

Workshops

Upskill your team

Paid hands-on workshops where teams learn AI/ML and physical AI on Jetsons and the DGX Spark, in the lab.

06

How an engagement runs

01

Site assessment: cameras, footfall, use cases, and network audit.

02

Pilot: one zone, one GPU box, measurable outcomes agreed up front.

03

Deployment: edge boxes and on-prem GPU server, wired into your cameras.

04

Managed service: monitoring, model updates, and support, per month.

05

Expand: new zones, new use cases, and LLM workloads on the same stack.

Pricing: one-time assessment and pilot, hardware at deployment, and a monthly managed-service subscription by camera count and use cases. Ask for the services deck.
The cameras are already on your walls. We make them intelligent, without your footage ever leaving the site.

Filter by build status or lab layer. Every card is a mission: what it is, why it matters, and what we plan to do next.
03

Infrastructure stack

The robotics work depends on a local data and compute spine. These are the systems that let experiments repeat, scale, and stay private.
01 · Storage

Local NAS

TrueNAS or OpenMediaVault first: durable datasets, logs, CAD, checkpoints, and video.

02 · Compute

GPU node

A 2-GPU Autonomous Computer build before larger rack-scale experiments.

03 · Versioning

DVC remotes

Project-level dataset and model versioning on top of local storage.

04 · Object layer

S3 semantics

SeaweedFS or Garage only after the first NAS is stable and projects need object APIs.

05 · Operations

Open DC stack

NetBox, OpenBMC, SONiC, Metal3, and Ironic when the Lab has multiple nodes.
